CR750 High-Precision Reamers for Firearms

Four-blade reamer / Tapered reamer

Carbide ReamersDiamond-like coatingInternal coolant

The CR750 Series of high-precision reamers for military firearms is a top-of-the-line product developed by JIAYI Tools specifically for machining core components of military firearms, such as barrel bores and high-precision gas ports. It is manufactured using military-grade, ultra-precision manufacturing processes. Achieving breakthroughs in barrel bore machining with "sub-micron precision, mirror-like surface finish, and service life," thereby completely resolving the pain points associated with traditional reamers in military manufacturing—namely, "insufficient precision, short service life, and poor stability." Provides reliable core machining support for the manufacture of military firearms

Engineering Features

Design details that keep reaming stable, accurate and chatter-free.

0.05 μm Cutting Edge Runout Precision

The cutting edge is ultra-precisely ground using a five-axis CNC grinding machine, with a runout error of ≤0.05 μm, ensuring that the roundness and cylindricity of the barrel bore are maintained within 0.001 mm, thereby meeting the stringent requirements for military firearms.

Dual-Angle Cutting Edge

The front cutting edge features a 12° guide angle to reduce entry-side deformation; the rear cutting edge features a 0.001 mm finishing edge to ensure a chip-free, burr-free exit, thereby preventing any impact on ballistic stability.

Integrally Machined Solid Carbide

The cutter body is machined from a single piece of ultra-fine-grain carbide (HRC 68) with no welded joints, ensuring no loosening or runout during high-speed, high-feed machining, with a repeatability of ≤0.003 mm.

ultra-fine-grain cemented carbide

The cutter body is made of WC-Co ultra-fine-grain cemented carbide (HRC 70), which offers 50% greater chip-cracking resistance than standard cemented carbide and can withstand continuous high-intensity machining.

Diamond-like coatings for military applications

These CVD diamond-like coatings are only 1 μm thick and have a coefficient of friction as low as 0.1. They extend tool life by a factor of 3 compared to traditional TiAlN coatings and eliminate the risk of coating peeling.

Low-Temperature Stress Relief Treatment

The cutter body undergoes cryogenic treatment at -196°C followed by high-temperature tempering to thoroughly eliminate internal stresses, ensuring no deformation or runout during high-speed machining and guaranteeing machining stability.

Dynamic Balancing and Vibration Damping Optimization

The tool undergoes G1.0-grade dynamic balancing testing and exhibits no vibration at high speeds of 30,000 rpm; the shank is made of a damping alloy and features built-in micro-damping grooves that absorb more than 95% of cutting vibrations.

100% Dynamic Balancing Test

Each reamer passes a G2.5-grade dynamic balancing test, ensuring vibration-free operation at high speeds of 20,000 rpm and guaranteeing machining stability.

Recommended Cutting Data

Starting values. Our engineers can tune parameters to your machine and workpiece.

Workpiece material Cutting speed vc (m/min) Feed f (mm/rev) Coolant
Barrel Steel 40–60 0.03–0.08 High-pressure internal + emulsion
Stainless Steel 30–50 0.02–0.06 Internal + MQL
Titanium Alloy 20–40 0.01–0.04 MQL
Bore Machining: It is recommended to use a stepped feed strategy, with each feed depth ≤ 2× the tool diameter, to ensure smooth chip evacuation and prevent scratching of the bore walls.

Applications

Typical bores and industries for this reamer.

φ5–φ12mm

Machining of Barrel Bores for Military Firearms

Machining φ5–φ12 mm bores in the steel bodies of rifle and sniper rifle barrels, with a roundness of ≤0.001 mm and a surface roughness of Ra ≤0.08 μm, to meet ballistic performance requirements.

φ2–φ8mm

Precision Hole Machining for Military Instruments

Machining φ2–φ8 mm precision holes in aluminum alloy and titanium alloy substrates for military optical instruments and radar equipment to meet accuracy requirements in high-vibration environments.
