T-2A FT-VHM Sun Hydraulics Cavity Tool – Finishing (Solid Carbide)

Cermet Series · Finishing

Welding Carbide Type E – Finishing

The T-2A cavity tool is a specialized reamer for cartridge valve blocks. It's a high-precision cutting cavity tool designed for machining holes in hydraulic cartridge valve blocks, primarily used to improve the dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy, and surface finish of multi-diameter holes. It's applied to the precision machining of cartridge holes in Sun Hydraulics hydraulic valve blocks, including reaming guide holes, oil passage holes, and valve seat holes. It ensures high hole accuracy, meeting the stringent sealing and functional requirements of hydraulic systems. Adaptable to various applications: A single tool body can efficiently complete reaming of multiple hole sizes with varying diameters. Because the cutting part is a welded cermet blade, wear is minimized, extending service life. Cavity tool types: High-speed steel type A / Morse taper shank type B / Carbide type C / Replaceable insert type D / Welding blade type E / Welding cermet type R / Welding PCDF type.

Engineering Features

Design details engineered for accuracy, tool life and process stability.

Long life

Due to its excellent wear resistance and heat resistance, welded cermet reamers have a longer service life than traditional tools, reducing replacement frequency and costs.

High hardness and wear resistance

Cermet materials possess extremely high hardness and wear resistance, maintaining good cutting performance under high-intensity and high-temperature environments.

High-temperature stability

Cermets retain their physical and chemical properties at high temperatures, making them suitable for machining high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine materials.

The T-2A D81021 welded cermet cavity tool, through precise design and high-performance materials, maintains stable cutting performance over extended periods, thereby improving machining accuracy and tool life.

The T-2A D8101 conforms to Sun Hydraulics cartridge valve technology standards, such as control valves, distributor valves, relief valves, and directional valves. It is suitable for valve bodies made of heat-treated alloy steel with a temperature of HRC 35 or higher.

Compared to solid carbide cavity tools, it offers higher wear resistance and faster spindle speeds. Hole surface roughness typically reaches Ra 0.4 or lower, meeting the high sealing requirements of hydraulic components.

Applications

Typical industries and parts machined with this tool.

Fluid Control Equipment

Used in fluid control equipment to machine various valve bodies and seats, ensuring smooth fluid flow and sealing performance.

Hydraulic Valve Block Machining

Used to machine cartridge valve bores in hydraulic valve blocks, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Automotive Manufacturing

Used in automotive manufacturing to machine hydraulic control system components in engines and transmissions.

Aerospace

Used in the aerospace field to machine high-precision hydraulic and pneumatic control system components.
