Indexable inserts resist edge chipping during interrupted cutting. The rigid body minimizes vibration and is ideal for cast skin, porosity and non-uniform materials.

The T-5A D8100 indexable cavity tool features a repeatable indexable insert design with high metal removal efficiency and excellent impact resistance. Inserts can be indexed multiple times, making it ideal for castings and heavy stock removal while significantly reducing tooling cost per part.
The T-5A D8100 complies with SUN Hydraulics cartridge valve standards and is suitable for machining control, relief, directional and other valve bodies made of heat-treated alloy steel above HRC35.
Compared with solid carbide cavity tools, it offers higher wear resistance, higher feeds and speeds, negative-rake reinforced inserts and a rigid tool body. Worn inserts are simply indexed.
