Single Flute Carbide End Mills
The GE150 series single-flute end mills, with only one cutting edge, offer a very large chip flute space, effectively accommodating and removing chips. This makes them particularly suitable for machining soft materials (such as aluminum alloys, copper, and plastics) to avoid chip clogging. Cutting materials: Hard/softwood, plastics, MDF, foam, acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, HDPE, ABS, UHMW, HIPS, PET, polystyrene, polypropylene (PP), polyoxymethylene, and other engineering plastics. Widely used in aerospace, automotive, and furniture manufacturing industries. In practice, selecting the appropriate tool type and parameters based on specific machining requirements is crucial to ensuring machining quality.

Design details engineered for accuracy, tool life and process stability.
The single-edge design provides 50% more chip flute space than multi-edge tools, efficiently removing large amounts of chips generated during roughing and preventing chip clogging in deep groove machining.
Enables smooth, progressive cutting, reducing tool impact, making it particularly suitable for heavy cutting of thin-walled parts and easily deformable workpieces, achieving a surface finish of Ra0.6μm or less.
The tool surface is mirror-polished, resulting in a low coefficient of friction of 0.25, effectively suppressing built-up edge formation, making it particularly suitable for high-gloss machining of aluminum alloys.
The substrate has a hardness of up to HRC63, combining high hardness and toughness, with twice the chipping resistance of ordinary end mills.
Due to fewer cutting edges and smooth chip removal, single-edge end mills generate less heat during machining, making them especially suitable for machining materials prone to tool sticking (such as aluminum alloys and plastics).
When machining soft materials, single-flute end mills can maintain stable cutting performance over a long period of time.
