Superfine Carbide End Mills -SUS
The HF477 series features a variable helix angle four-flute end mill. These square-profile end mills are designed to extend tool life for stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, and hardened steels up to 65 Rc. Advanced grinding processes ensure cutting stability, and an eccentric removal design maximizes edge strength in both roughing and finishing applications. The HF477 four-flute end mill is developed for aerospace precision parts. Its eccentric removal function effectively suppresses cutting vibration, achieving stable machining with high surface finish and high precision, making it ideal for mold finishing, thin-walled part machining, and semi-finishing/finishing of high-hardness materials.

Design details engineered for accuracy, tool life and process stability.
Adjacent cutting edges use different helix angles, breaking the periodicity of cutting vibration, significantly reducing machining noise and chatter marks, achieving a surface finish below Ra0.4μm.
Surface hardness HV2800, low coefficient of friction as low as 0.3, effectively suppressing built-up edge formation, especially suitable for high-speed cutting of materials such as aluminum alloys and steel.
The non-uniform tooth pitch distribution further disperses cutting forces, avoiding resonance, especially suitable for machining thin-walled parts, deep cavities, and other easily vibrating workpieces.
The substrate hardness reaches HRC65, combining high hardness with excellent impact resistance, resulting in a tool life 2-3 times that of ordinary end mills.
The edge radius is controlled within 0.015mm, balancing edge sharpness and chipping resistance, making it suitable for precision contour machining.
The core diameter is 12% larger than that of ordinary end mills, increasing tool rigidity and maintaining machining stability even at high feed rates.
Grinding is performed using a German Walter 5-axis grinder. The variable helix end mill minimizes vibration, making it ideal for machining U-shaped beams, especially smooth surfaces of large structures.
